Milestone Tracking
You can automatically track milestones based on the lifecycle of a document if it undergoes multiple stages.
The setup for Milestone settings can be configured within the “Milestone Tracking” section, with each milestone being updated individually in the “Milestone” feature.
To access Milestone Tracker, go to: > Home > Settings > Milestone Tracker
1. Creating a Milestone Tracker
- Click on New.
- Set the Document Type to track (example: “Issue”).
- Set the field that represents stages (example: “Status”).
> Note: A milestone stage can be defined by Link or Select properties.
Once configured, a new Milestone record is generated each time the status of any issue is altered.
These Milestones can be observed in the timeline view:
Note: Milestones function autonomously from Versions.
2. Features
Milestones serve as valuable resources for reporting and notifications. For instance, if Lead Qualification is designated as a milestone for “Leads,” Milestones can facilitate the generation of reports detailing the number of leads qualified within a specific timeframe.
2.1 Using Milestones with Dashboards
When utilized in conjunction with Dashboards, Milestones enable the tracking of trends related to milestones. For instance, if “Qualification” is monitored as a “Lead Stage,” a Dashboard filtered by Milestone and focused on Qualification will display the trends of qualified leads.
2.2 Using Milestones with Energy Points
Energy Point Rules can be established to automatically award Energy Points to users upon reaching a milestone. This feature can be utilized to incentivize engagement with transactions across different tiers or levels.
