Data Visibility in Child Tables

In BizCentric, there exists a feature known as the editable grid, which enables users to input values directly into the child table without needing to open a separate dialog box or form for each row.

When the Editable Grid is activated, the Quotation Item table displays data with a maximum of four columns.

By default, only four columns are displayed in the child table. To add additional columns within the Editable Grid:

  1. Specify a value in the “Column” field for the field intended to be added as a column in the table.
  2. Ensure that the “Is List View” property is selected for that particular field.

Upon inputting a value in the “Column” field, corresponding columns will be appended to the child table. It’s important to note that the cumulative value entered in the “Column” field should not surpass 10. Additionally, the width of each column will be determined based on its corresponding “Column” value.

Switch to Un-editable Grid

If you wish to display more values in the preview of the Quotation Item table, you can opt to deactivate the Editable Grid for the Quotation Item DocType.

Once the Editable Grid feature is turned off for the Quotation Item, the values will be presented in a preview format within the Quotation Item table.

To ensure that a particular field’s value appears in the preview, ensure that for that specific field, the “In List View” property is enabled within the Customize Form tool.
