To perform Asset Maintenance in BizCentric:

  1. Enable ‘Maintenance Required’ from the Asset master.
  2. Create an Asset Maintenance Team.
  3. Create the Asset Maintenance.

1. Prerequisites

Before creating and using Asset Maintenance, it is advised to create the following first:

2. How to create Asset Maintenance

For each asset, generate an Asset Maintenance record that outlines all associated maintenance tasks, specifies the maintenance type (whether Preventive Maintenance or Calibration), indicates the periodicity, assigns responsibility, and includes start and end dates for maintenance. The next due date is automatically calculated based on the start date and periodicity, and a ToDo is generated for the assignee.

Here are the steps to create an Asset Maintenance record:

  1. Navigate to the Asset Maintenance list and click on “New.”
  2. Choose the asset for which maintenance is being recorded.
  3. Select the Asset Maintenance Team responsible for the maintenance.
  4. Add maintenance tasks to the table.
  5. Specify the Maintenance Status as ‘Planned’, ‘Overdue’, or ‘Canceled’.
  6. Determine the periodicity for conducting the task. The next due date is calculated accordingly.
  7. Save the record.
  8. After saving, assign the task to a user if necessary.

If the item is serialized, you can input the Serial Number as well.
