Attendance Request
Through the Attendance Request feature, employees can submit requests for their attendance on days where it wasn’t marked due to reasons like on-site duty or remote work. Additionally, Attendance Requests can serve for Attendance Regularization, allowing employees to override existing attendance records.
To access Attendance Request, go to:
> Home > Human Resources > Attendance > Attendance Request
1. Prerequisites
Before creating an Attendance Request, it is advised that you create the following first:
2. How to create an Attendance Request
- Go to Attendance Request list, click on New.
- Choose the Employee who wishes to submit the Attendance Request.
- Specify the From Date and To Date for the Attendance Request.
- You can opt to enable “Include Holidays” if you want to include holidays occurring between these dates as well. This feature was introduced starting from version 15.
- Select the Reason and provide an Explanation (optional).
- Save and submit.
Note 1: You have the option to check the ‘Half Day’ checkbox and input the Date if the attendance is for a half-day.
Note 2: Upon submission, Attendance documents will be generated for the specified dates.
The respective Attendance records are linked to the submitted Attendance Request.
If you cancel the Attendance Request, the linked Attendance documents will also be canceled.
3. Features
3.1 Overwrite an existing Attendance record
In situations where the auto-attendance tool incorrectly marked an employee as Absent, if the employee wishes to correct their attendance, they can raise a request. Upon submission, the Attendance record will be updated.
The submission process can be managed through workflows for approval purposes.
3.2 Request for Attendance in Bulk
Employees have the option to request attendance for an entire month or week. Upon submission, the system skips attendance marking for holidays or leave days.
You can activate the “Include Holidays” option if you wish to mark attendance for holidays as well.
Attendance warnings are displayed on the request dashboard accordingly.
