Delivery Note Negative Stock Error

Question: While submitting a Delivery Note, if a message indicates that the item’s stock is inadequate, despite the availability of the item in the Warehouse, what should be done?

Answer: Upon the submission of a Delivery Note, the system verifies the stock level based on the Posting Date and Posting Time recorded in the note. It’s plausible that the item may indeed be available in the Warehouse. However, if you’re creating a back-dated Delivery Note and the item wasn’t present in the warehouse at the specified Posting Date and Posting Time, you may encounter an error message regarding negative stock. To confirm this, you can consult the Stock Ledger report.

In such instances, it’s advisable to adjust the Posting Date and Time of the Delivery Note so that they occur after the recorded date and time of the item’s receipt entry.
