Difference Entry

According to accounting standards, the sum of debits and credits in an accounting entry must be equal. If they are not, the system does not allow the submission of the accounting transaction, thereby preventing ledger posting. In BizCentric, upon saving an accounting entry, the system validates whether the debits and credits match.

To balance the entry, you can either add another row with a different account and update the amount accordingly, or you can adjust the amount within one of the existing account rows.

By clicking the ‘Make Difference Entry’ button, a new row will be appended to the Journal Entry Accounts table with the necessary difference amount. You can then modify this row to select the appropriate account.

Upon selecting an account for the new row, the debit and credit entries will be balanced, allowing you to submit the Journal Entry accurately.
