Education Settings

The Education Settings enable you to perform basic setup for your institute. Here, you can define the Academic Year, Academic Term, and other default settings for your BizCentric account.

These configuration settings will have an impact throughout the module.

To access Academic term, go to:

Home > Education > Settings > Education Settings

1. Steps to configure Education Settings

  1. Choose the present Academic Year, which will serve as the default Academic Year across your account.
  2. Pick the ongoing Academic Term, which will serve as the default Academic Term throughout your account.
  3. Indicate the Attendance Freeze date. Attendance recorded after this date will be considered invalid.
  4. Specify how you wish to create Instructor Records: by Full Name, Naming series, or Employee Number.

1.1. Configuring Properties

  • Validate Batch for Students in Student Group: When batch-adding students to a student group, the system will verify whether the student is associated with that batch. If not, an error will be displayed upon saving the Student Group.
  • Validate Batch for Students in Student Group: When adding students to a student group via a Course, the system will check whether the student is enrolled in that course. If not, an error will be shown when saving the Student Group.
  • Make Academic Term Mandatory: When activated, this setting will require users to input the Academic Term when creating a Program Enrollment through the Program Enrollment Tool.
  • Skip User Creation for New Student: By default, creating a new student also generates a corresponding User. Enabling this option prevents the creation of a new User when adding a new Student.

1.2. LMS Settings

The Education module includes a built-in Learning Management System (LMS), providing institutes with the ability to showcase their programs on their website. These programs can feature various multimedia elements such as articles, videos, and quizzes. Both individual student progress and course management can be tracked seamlessly through both the administrative desk and the portal.

Enabling the LMS for your BizCentric Education module unlocks the following configuration settings:

  • LMS Title: Specify the title for your LMS, typically representing the name of your institute.
  • Description: Add a description for the course or program offered through your LMS.
