Google Settings
To enable Google Integrations, BizCentric needs access to the API through which the data will be synced which is achieved using OAuth 2.0 Authentication Protocol.
How to set up Google Settings
For Google Calendar, Google Contacts, Google Drive and Google Indexing
To enable synchronization with any of the above mentioned services, you must authorize BizCentric to access data from Google.
- Begin by creating a new project on the Google Cloud Platform and generating new OAuth 2.0 credentials.
- For Google Calendar, utilize the Calendar API.
- For Google Contacts, utilize the People API.
- For Google Drive, utilize the Drive API.
- For Google Indexing, utilize the Indexing API.
- Enable API Access in the API Library for the Integration you intend to integrate.
- Navigate to API & Services > Credentials, and create a new Credential. Then select Create OAuth client ID.
- Choose Web Application as the Application Type.
- Add your Client ID and Client Secret in the Google Settings located in Home > Integrations > Google Services > Google Settings.
For Google Maps
Configuring the API Key is necessary only if you intend to utilize the Directions API, such as in Bi’s Delivery Trip. It is not necessary for other features.
To enable synchronization with Google Maps, you need to generate an API key since Google Maps does not require access to data from Google.
Follow these steps:
- Create a new project on Google Cloud Platform and generate a new API Key.
- Enable API Access in the API Library for the Directions API.
- Then, add the generated API Key in the Google Settings located in Home > Integrations > Google Services > Google Settings.
