Installation Note
An Installation Note is typically generated when a product or item is being installed or configured at the customer’s premises.
For instance, when selling an air conditioner, a service personnel typically accompanies the delivery to install the unit at the customer’s location. In this scenario, the service personnel can create an “Installation Note” to document and track the installation date and related details.
To access the Installation, Note list, go to: > Home > Stock > Serial No and Batch > Installation Note
1. How to create an Installation Note
Typically, an Installation Note originates from a Delivery Note. However, it can also be generated manually by selecting the “From Delivery Note” option to retrieve details from a chosen Delivery Note.
Here’s how to create an Installation Note:
- Navigate to the Installation Note list and select New.
- The Customer, Item, and quantity information will be populated from the corresponding Delivery Note.
- The date and time are automatically set to the moment the note is generated.
- Save and submit the Installation Note.
Additional remarks regarding the installation process can be included. If the Item requires serialization, the serial numbers can be entered in the Items table.
