Perm Level Error

While customizing rules in the Permission Manager, you might receive an error message saying:

For System Manager (or any other role) at level 2 (or another level) in Customer (or any other document) in row 8: Permission at level 0 must be set before higher levels are set.

The error message indicates that there’s an issue with the existing permission settings for this document.

Before assigning permissions at Perm Level 1 or 2 (or any subsequent levels) for any role, permissions at Perm Level 0 must be assigned. The error message specifically states that permission has been assigned to the System Manager role at Perm Level 1 and 2, but not at level 0. To address this issue, you can take either of the following corrective actions:

  1. Assign permission to the System Manager role at level 0.or
  2. Remove permission at level 1 and 2 for the System Manager role.

Once you’ve performed one of these corrective actions, you should be able to successfully add new permission rules in the Role Permission Manager.
