Price Lists
To access a Price List, go to:
> Home > Selling/Buying/Stock > Items and Pricing > Price List
1. How to use a Price List
- Price Lists are utilized when establishing Item Prices to monitor the selling or buying price of an item.
- Specific countries can be designated within the Price List.
- To deactivate a particular Price List, deselect the ‘Enabled’ checkbox. Disabled Price Lists will not be accessible for selection in Sales and Purchase transactions.
- Price Not UOM Dependent: Consider an item like Tomatoes, which is bought in Boxes and sold in Kilos. For instance, if 1 Box equals 10 Kilos and the buying price per Kilo is 10rs. If the “Price Not UOM Dependent” option is unchecked and you choose 1 Box in your transaction, the price will only reflect for a Kilo since that’s the only Item Price stored.
- However, if you enable this option and conduct a transaction with a Box of Tomatoes, the price will automatically adjust to 100 since the price of 1 Box (equivalent to 10 Kilos) is 100.
Standard Buying and Selling Price Lists are automatically generated by default.
Note: With multiple Price Lists, you have the flexibility to select a Price List or assign it to a customer (for automatic selection). Your Item Prices will be dynamically updated based on the Price List selected.
