Project Views

Since Projects require timely management, various visual views are necessary to effectively convey information to users.

In addition to the standard list and report views for projects and tasks, BizCentric offers Gantt, Kanban, and Calendar views for tasks. You can access these views by navigating to the Task list and selecting them from the options in the left sidebar.

Gantt View

A Gantt Chart illustrates the interconnection of tasks and their sequence of execution, relying on the start and end dates specified for each task, as well as any dependencies present.

You can adjust the timeframe displayed on the chart by choosing from options such as Quarter Day, Half Day, Day, Week, or Month.

Dragging a task across the dates will automatically update its start and end dates accordingly.

Kanban View

The term “Kanban” originates from Japanese and translates to “billboard” or “signboard,” stemming from its roots in Toyota’s lean manufacturing methodology. In a traditional Kanban board setup, a board or wall is divided into sections representing various stages of execution or completion. Tasks are depicted on the board using sticky notes or Post-It notes, progressing through the stages as they advance in the process.

BizCentric offers the Kanban view for tasks, organizing them based on their status. You can adjust a task’s status by moving its corresponding card from one column to another. Additionally, colors can be assigned to these columns for visual differentiation.

Calendar View

Similar to the Gantt chart, the calendar view displays tasks along with their projected duration for completion. However, in this view, tasks are presented across a standard calendar layout.
