Repack Entry
A Repack Entry is generated when items purchased in bulk need to be repackaged into smaller units. For instance, items bought in tons can be repackaged into kilograms.
Notes:
- The Purchase Item and repack will possess distinct Item Codes.
- A Repack entry can be generated with or without a Bill of Materials (BOM).
Within a Repack Entry, there may be one or more repacked items. To illustrate this concept further, consider the following scenario:
Suppose we purchase boxes of spray paint in specific colors (e.g., Green, Blue). Later, we repackage these items to create packs containing multiple colors of spray paint (e.g., Blue-Green, Green-Yellow).
1. New Stock Entry
Stock > Documents > Stock Entry > New Stock Entry
2. Enter Items
Choose the Purpose option as ‘Repack Entry.’
For raw material or input items, only the Source Warehouse needs to be specified.
For repacked or output items, only the Target Warehouse needs to be specified. Valuation details must be provided for the repack items.
Ensure to update the quantity for all selected items.
3. Submit Stock Entry
Upon submission of the Stock Entry, the stock of input items will be decreased from the Source Warehouse, while the stock of repacked or output items will be augmented in the Target Warehouse.
