Salary structure and Payroll
Scenario 1: What if the same Salary Structure needs to be assigned to all Employees?
If a uniform Salary Structure is required for all Employees, it’s advisable to create a universal structure applicable to all, regardless of their individual salaries. However, we can establish formulas based on which distinct salary structures can be allocated to each Employee within the organization.
Navigate to Salary Structure > Choose the Earning or Deduction component > Add Formula.
This approach enables the calculation of salaries tailored to each Employee based on their monthly earnings.
Scenario 2: What if only specific employees need to be included when generating payroll?
Typically, during payroll processing, there’s an option to “Get Employees,” which retrieves all employees.
However, if payroll needs to be generated for a specific subset of employees, it’s preferable to filter them based on department, branch, or designation. This ensures that only the selected employees meeting the specified criteria are included in the payroll processing.
