To access Salary Structure Assignment, go to: > Home > Human Resources > Payroll > Salary Structure Assignment

1. Prerequisites

Before you create a Salary Structure Assignment, it is advisable you have the following documents:

  1. Employee
  2. Salary Component
  3. Salary Structure

2. How to create a Salary Structure Assignment:

  1. Go to Salary Structure Assignment list and click on New.
  2. Select the Employee and Salary Structure.
  3. Select the From Date from which this particular Salary Structure will be applicable.
  4. Select preferred Income Tax Slab for the employee.
  5. Input the Base and Variable amounts as needed. The Base amount signifies the fixed Base Salary of the Employee, which is disbursed irrespective of whether employees achieve their objectives. Conversely, Variable pay constitutes a portion of sales compensation contingent upon employee performance. When employees attain their goals (referred to as quota), variable pay is disbursed as a form of bonus, incentive pay, or commission.

2.1 Alternate ways to create Salary Structure Assignment

You can alternatively allocate a Salary Structure directly to Employee(s) via the Salary Structure document. To assign the Salary Structure to a single employee, utilize the ‘Assign Salary Structure’ button within the Salary Structure document.

For bulk assignment of the Salary Structure to multiple employees, you can proceed with the ‘Assign to Employees’ button.

You have the option to filter employees based on Employee Grade, Department, Designation, and individual employees if desired.

Upon completion, click on the ‘Assign’ button to allocate the Salary Structure accordingly.
