The Table MultiSelect field functions similarly to the Link Field, but with the distinction that it permits the selection of multiple values.

You can incorporate a Table MultiSelect Field by following these steps.

Step 1: Create a child DocType

Create a new DocType and activate the ‘Is Child Table’ and ‘Editable Grid’ checkboxes. Then, add a field with the type ‘Link’ as depicted below.

Make sure to designate the link field as mandatory. Also, ensure that the field within the child table has the “In List View” option checked.

Step 2: Add a field with type ‘Table MultiSelect’

Generate a field with the type ‘Table MultiSelect’ and incorporate the DocType created in the initial step into the ‘options’.

To eliminate any selected value, simply click on the cross sign adjacent to the selected value or position the cursor next to the value and press the Backspace key.

This field permits each value to be chosen only once.

Note: Table MultiSelect fields cannot be added in child DocTypes.
