The Project Champion
After observing numerous ERP implementations over recent years, we’ve come to understand that successful implementation hinges greatly on intangible factors and attitude.
ERPs are not obligatory.
Like learning a new language.
Learning a new language might not seem necessary at the moment, especially if you’re comfortable with your current linguistic skills. However, over time, being multilingual opens up new opportunities, improves cognitive abilities, and enhances communication skills.
Similarly, implementing an ERP system might not feel essential in the short term, but in the long run, it streamlines operations, improves efficiency, and provides a competitive edge in the market. Just like language learning, the initial challenges are outweighed by the long-term benefits and growth opportunities for your organization.
The Champion
Implementing an ERP system entails organization-wide transformation and necessitates concerted effort. Every transformation demands a champion, whose responsibility is to rally and motivate the entire team towards successful implementation. The champion must also possess resilience to navigate any unforeseen challenges.
In many observed instances within organizations, the champion is typically the owner or a senior manager. Occasionally, an external specialist is appointed for this role.
Regardless, identifying your champion is paramount.
Chances are, it’s you!
Let’s get started!
