Unit of Measure (UoM)

A UoM is a unit using which an Item is measured.

By default, BizCentric includes numerous Units of Measure (UoMs), but additional ones can be added to accommodate your specific business needs. Within the UoM settings, there is an option labeled ‘Must be Whole Number’. When enabled, this restricts the use of fractional numbers with this particular UoM. For further details on UoMs and fractions, please refer to this page.

The UoM list primarily contains the names of the units. The actual conversion rates are stored in a document known as the ‘UoM Conversion Factor’. If you introduce new UoMs and intend to use them in transactions where conversion to other UoMs is necessary, it’s recommended to include them in this conversion factor list.
